I’m a lady of that certain age, who just wishes to “play” with words and write a blog for no other reason than it’s fun. My husband and I came to live in the mountains of Portugal some 9 years ago and have never looked back since. From rather pressurised lives we now live at a more leisurely pace, enjoying popping down to the local village for coffee and oh yes the occasional brandy.
I also have another site that is about Photo Challenges and I only use photographs taken in Portugal to complete the challenge. If I have another photo that is more suitable and is taken somewhere else I use this blog. Please pop over and take a look its Paradise has Mosquitoes – Photo Challenges
Quite impressive ! I appreciate you stopping by my blog and subscribing. I look forward to sharing more with you in the future. Bella Remy.

Thanks for subscribing to TheConqueringMom. As I was reading, I thought, “This woman ought to meet Tilly . . . ” Then I saw above, that you have, already. 🙂
Everything here is really fun, and I wish I could do what you do, but I am better at enjoying humor than creating it. 🙂 Thanks, again — I’ll be back!

Hello. I found your blog through one of the others I follow. I love the title of your blog and I could identify immediately. We moved from South Africa to Italy and were horrified to find that the mosquitoes are worse here (in Italy)! That said, we also live in a little village and love the slower pace of life. I’ll be popping in to see your stories now and then. Do come in and visit me too.
Thank you for your comment, yes the mosquitoes here are a problem, perhaps they are of the same species.

Hope all is well – I’ve missed your ramblings and lovely photos…
Haven’t been on for some time, my internet connection has been playing up so very much recently that it has taken the pleasure away from blogging. Fingers crossed that this will be sorted and I’ll be back to full strength again.
If that’s the worst of it then here’s wishing the internet gremlins find another home… Good to hear everything else is fine!
