AWESOMENESS ABOUNDS!
Thank you for an awesome comment.
It’s a long slog to December 25th 🙂
Sure is but then I do like Christmas.
I admire your organisation!
Only this well organised with the cake as I like to “feed” it with brandy every couple of weeks before Christmas.
Well done. My cake was made in October, and I’ve been feeding it weekly with Grand Marnier. I’ve started making Christmas presents.
Out here it’s a bit to warm to make the cake any sooner, I’ll be feeding mine with Portuguese brandy called Constatino. Never though about feeding it with Grand Marnier, sounds scrumptious.
Oh don’t!
Just gotta be done!
no stop don’t!!!!!!!! ………… some of us haven’t even begun to think about it yet!!!!!!!
The cake has to be “fed” with brandy sometime before the big day, so it just has to be made no later than now.
I’m thinking when I put my mind to it …. ChocolateYuleLog this year 😉
Mmmmmmmmmm yummy.
Cake riddled with alcohol. You’ve named the only part of Christmas that interests me. Humbug, I say; humbug.
Ah now there’s one other thing you might like, home-made mince meat (sweet no meat) riddled with booze too!
Shopping almost done, not really decorating because we’re traveling for Christmas, probably baking next week…
Gosh I haven’t started on my shopping. We’re at home this Christmas so the house will no doubt look like a rather tasteless Santa’s Grotto!
I have started on my christmas gifts as well. I don’t bake anymore however when the kids were little I used to make one thing every week and freeze it.
Sound advice about freezing what you can, makes for less hassle on the big day. I really like Christmas cake, my way, so have to make one and get all the fun of “feeding” it.
I’ve started, also. The list of “to do” is so long, I just figure if I stretch it out it won’t be so stressful. Along the way, I’ll ‘feed’ me, not a cake!
Ah but I plan to “feed” us both. Good luck on the ‘to do’ front.
Great, keep going.
Think I’ll make my home-made mince meat next, you can use it straight away but it tastes so much nicer when left for a couple of weeks or so.
Great job! I’m already behind, as usual. 🙂
I’m only this far with my cake, all other preparations are behind too.
I’m not even prepared for Thanksgivings
Being English I don’t have the hassle of Thanksgiving so can devote my time to Christmas. Now where’s my wrapping paper.
That cake sounds delicious! I am a fan of cake and alcohol, but have never had them together. Looking for recipe right now! Thanks!
See if you can find an English Christmas Cake recipe by someone called Dehlia Smith, hers is fabulous.
You must be freeing the cake…if you are making it for Christmas! ?????
Got to be made well in advance so that it can soak up all the brandy.
Very exciting. My husband put our tree up quite some time ago and it is crazy but beautiful.
Christmas is a smashing time of the year, enjoy yours any way you want.
